So, you want to work in the UK, here's how

A skilled work visa in the UK is a type of visa that allows individuals from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland to work in the UK if they have a job offer from a UK employer. This visa route was introduced as part of the UK's new immigration system that came into effect from January 1, 2021, following the end of the Brexit transition period.

Under the skilled work visa category, skilled workers are required to meet certain eligibility criteria, including having a job offer from a UK employer that is sponsored by a licensed sponsor, having a minimum skill level of RQF Level 3 (equivalent to A-levels), and meeting English language requirements.

The skilled work visa has replaced the previous Tier 2 (General) visa and encompasses a wider range of skilled occupations. It no longer requires ithe Resident Labour Market Test, which means employers have more flexibility in hiring skilled workers from overseas.

The skilled work visa is typically granted for a maximum period of five years and can be extended or lead to settlement in the UK. It also provides individuals with the opportunity to switch jobs and change employers within certain conditions.

It's important to note that immigration policies and requirements are subject to change
